Spend some time shopping at local businesses in McAllen, visit the opening of the annual Christmas Tree Forest at the IMAS, and bring along a dancing partner for the Que Viva La Salsa event at Cine El Rey. Read on for more things to do in McAllen this weekend!

  • Enjoy a bike ride with the Sun & Ski Sports Team during their Sunday Sapo Gravel Ride from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Meet at their La Plaza Mall location and don’t forget your helmet and water bottle!
  • Spend ”Friendsgiving” at the Courtyard Plaza from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Enjoy complimentary cocktails and appetizers, door prizes, deals, tent sales, free gifts with purchases, and a bouncy house for the kids.
  • Join the Youth Art Class Workshop at the IMAS from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM. Experiment with paper-making methods and creating your own sketchbook. There is a fee of $10 per participant. Seating in the workshop is limited, so advanced registration is recommended online or by phone. Click here to register online or call (956) 681-2800.
  • Shop from local vendors, enjoy food, music, a pie-eating contest, and more at The Wish Market. This event will be held at The Yard from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
  • Bring your little ones for stories, signs, and playtime during Baby Storytime! This event will be held at the McAllen Public Library from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
  • Join a staff member for Art in the Park at the McAllen Nature Center from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There is a suggested donation fee of $1 per person.
