Tie those laces and start training for the McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Memorial Run! The City of McAllen is hosting several races on January 14th and 15th including a 5K, half-marathon, a USATF-certified full marathon and a five-person relay marathon.

Race Details

The racecourses are flat and fast with a South Texas breeze and asphalt routes that will cruise through shady McAllen neighborhoods with all of the support needed to get you across the finish line! All events feature superior course support, including ample water stations, restroom facilities and first-aid stations.

Full Marathon

  • 26.2 miles
  • January 15th at 7:00 AM
  • 7-hour maximum length
  • USATF – certified, Boston Qualifier
  • Must be at least 14 years old

5k Race

  • Custom finisher medal and t-shirt to the first 300 registered participants

*Participants aged 14 through 18 who sign up for the full marathon will be subject to evaluation to ensure preparedness.

General participants and runners, including handicapped individuals, must complete the race in seven hours or be removed by the SAG vehicle.
