Special Events in McAllen
Little Miss 4th of July – Palm View Community Center

This year’s classic Little Miss 4th of July pageant will kick off June 8 at 10:00 AM at Palm View Community Center. Contestants will require a $60 pageant fee to compete in one of three categories: Tiny Miss (ages 4 – 6), Little Miss (ages 7 – 9), and Young Miss (ages 10 – 12).
Canvas & Coffee – Las Palmas Community Center
1921 N 25th Street
Embrace your inner artist while enjoying a delicious cup of Joe at Canvas & Coffee in the Las Palmas Community Center! Even if you’re not a skilled painter, this program’s guided instruction will lead you to artistic success for a $12 fee. This program starts at 9:00 AM, so don’t be late:

Pup Dash – Town Lake at Firemen’s Park

It’s time for another tail-wagging fun run at this year’s Pup Dash happening on Saturday, July 15! Be there at 8:00 AM with your four-legged friend for an energetic run, a casual jog, or a comfortable walk – the choice is yours!
- $12 per pup
- $5 for additional pup

Father & Son Olympics – Palm View Community Center

Paris is not the only city hosting Olympic events this summer – that’s right, McAllen has its very own Father & Son Olympics! This showdown will be filled with fun, excitement, and a wide range of thrilling events. We’ll see you there!
