H20 Hut Hours:

April – October: Friday – Sunday, 4 pm – Sunset

Offering boat & fishing pole rentals, tackle, bait and refreshments for sale. In the event of steady rain, programs will be cancelled and the H2O Hut will be closed.

PEDAL BOAT, KAYAK,
and STAND UP PADDLEBOARD RENTALS

Bring the family and enjoy 30 minutes on the lake in a boat of your choice. Rental fee includes a life jacket which is mandatory to be worn around the chest.

Dates: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Time: 4:00 pm to Sunset, April – October
Fee: 4-seater Pedal Boat – $20;
2-seater Pedal Boat – $10;
Double Kayak – $15, Single Kayak – $10, Stand Up Paddleboard* – $10

*Ages 10+ only on the Stand Up Paddleboards (200 lb limit) and Single Kayaks (300 lb limit)
Ages 17 and under with parental consent only. Parents must be present
**Frequent boater punch cards may be purchased in the H20 Hut – $100 value for $80.

Fee: $5 per pole (bait purchase additional)

GUIDED PROGRAMS
STAND UP PADDLEBOARD WORKOUT

Join a Town Lake staff member for a 30 minute workout on a paddleboard. No experience is necessary.

Dates: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays
Time: April – August @ 7:00 p.m.,
September – October @ 6:00 p.m.
Ages: 14+ Only
Fee: $10 (board rental, paddle and lifejacket included)

LEARN TO FISH

Have you wanted to try your hand at fishing but didn’t know how to go about learning? Join a staff member for instruction, followed by 30 minutes of fishing in the lake. This program is suitable for youth and adults. Parents required to remain with their children.

Dates: Sundays
Topics: Knot Tying, What Goes in the Tackle Box?
Fish ID and Finding the Fish, Fishing Pole Maintenance and Texas Fishing Regulations
Time: September, October @ 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Fee: $25 per angler. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. Call 681-3333 for details.

OTHER AMENITIES

PARK HOURS: Daily 6 am to 11 pm

SINGLE PICNIC TABLES/GRILLS: First come, first serve.

PAVILION AND PUMPHOUSE RENTALS: Advance reservation only by calling McAllen Parks & Recreation at 956-681-3333.

GROUP BOAT RENTALS, FISHING CLASSES, OR OVERNIGHT CAMPOUTS: Arrangements can be made for groups who want to rent our boats or learn to fish, and for guided overnight camping programs.

FISHING: CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY. CAST NETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Ages 16 and under can fish without a license. Ages 17 and up require a valid state fishing license. For Texas residents, this fee is currently $30 for the year or $11 for the day. Information on purchasing a license can be found at
