This weekend will be full of fun events that will have you exploring McAllen! Check out Grapes & Grains at Tres Lagos on Friday, enjoy the Sunset Live Outdoor Concert Series at the McAllen Convention Center’s Oval Park on Saturday, and end Sunday with the South Texas Book Festival at the McAllen Public Library. Read on for more things to do in McAllen this weekend!

Sunday, November 10th

  • Enjoy a bike ride with the Sun & Ski Sports Team during their Sunday Sapo Gravel Ride from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Meet at their La Plaza Mall location and don’t forget your helmet and water bottle!
  • The high-intensity functional workout “2FIT2QUIT” will be held at The Yard from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. There is a fee of $20 per person, which includes a $5 alcoholic beverage, the workout, and entrance to a raffle. To purchase tickets, call Osiel at 956-545-1285.
  • Join the festivities at the annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing Holiday Dinner at the McAllen Convention Center from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. In addition to a holiday meal, you can enjoy music, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.
  • Celebrate culture and imagination at the South Texas Book Festival 2019. This event will be held at the McAllen Public Library from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
  • Join Craft Cultura for Curando Heridas: A Community Plática on Latinx Mental Health at the IMAS from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM.
  • Take advantage of the Free Family Sunday Funday at the IMAS from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
  • Bring your little one for stories, signs, and playtime during Baby Storytime! This event will be held at the McAllen Public Library from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
  • Enjoy live and local music at Sabrosonico held at The Yard from 5:00 PM until 1:00 AM.
  • Join a staff member for a fun arts and crafts activity during Art in the Park. This event will be held at the McAllen Nature Center from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There is a suggested donation fee of $1 per person.
