It’s that time of year again! Fall is gracing us with its presence and we are so ready for everything that comes along with it. In our last “Fall for McAllen” segment, you all got a little taste (pun intended!) of fall treats in McAllen. Now, we’re taking things outdoors to find some activities that you can enjoy with that special someone in your life (or even just friends and family) around McAllen!

McAllen Art Walk

This takes place every first Friday of the month along Archer Park between the months of September and May. Artists and local vendors will line the park with handmade goods and original artwork available for purchase. With the crispness in the air, there is no better way to enjoy the start to your weekend!

McAllen Food Park

With food trucks set up side-by-side, McAllen gets some big city vibes in their little slice of heaven located across Archer Park. Sometimes, there will even be live music for you to enjoy while having a delicious meal.

Sunset LIVE

With summer ending, Sunset LIVE is ready to start back up again! This is a music festival that takes place every second Saturday of the month from April until June and October until December. Aside from the live entertainment, there are also local vendors and food trucks to enjoy!

Other Fun Outdoor Activities

Aside from all of these events that take place throughout the fall, McAllen also has some other cool spots you can head to with your friends and family. Fireman’s Park has a B-Cycle dock where you can rent bikes and ride around the city. There are also several trails for jogging as well as a beautiful golf course.

No matter which McAllen events you attend, you’re guaranteed to have a great time! The weather starts changing and spending time outdoors becomes bearable once again. Don’t miss out on all the ways you can explore; there are so many things to do in McAllen! Make sure you tag us in your photos on Instagram and use #exploremcallen for a repost!
