Draw & Paint with Aurora Vite
Artist: Aurora Vite is an award-winning artist that’s been taking the Rio Grande Valley by storm. After winning first place for her photography artwork at McAllen’s Art Council Fine Art Exhibit in 2016, she showed no sign of slowing down. Her work is known for animal realism and color abstracts in mixed media. She also teaches classes in her Draw and Paint After School Program!

Virginia Haynie Gause
Travel Writer: An established and talented writer, Virginia Haynie Gause has been alluring readers with the wonders of Texas’s cities and Mexico. Her next book, The Trailblazer’s Guide to the Rio Grande Valley, will include all four Valley counties and feature local hotspots, restaurants and much more. With her 42 years of experience as UTPA’s librarian, she’s using her expertise to help fill in the chapters of her book so that residents and tourists can enjoy the Valley to the fullest.

Colibrí Music Studio with Carol Brown
Choir Director: Assisting choir students from first through ninth grades, Carol Brown has created the musical harmony of Colibrí Music Studio and Children’s Choir. Students for Colibrí Children’s Choir are selected based on their desire to sing, aural and vocal potentials, willingness to work hard and ability to learn quickly. Colibrí Children’s Choir performs at least two concerts each year.

Porcelain Hand Painting with Miriam Smith
Artist: Porcelain paintings come to life with Miriam Smith. Along with the International Porcelain Artists and Teacher Incorporation, she has studied alongside other distinguished talents like Barbara Jensen and Jene Harpor. With hand-painted porcelain art slowly disappearing, she teaches hand-painted porcelain art to pass on to future generations.

South Valley Performing Arts Studio
Vocal Coach: South Valley Performing Arts Studio has been transforming young actors, musicians and aspiring singers into polished and talented artists. A singer and songwriter himself, Victor Hurtado uses his degree in Communications and 26 years of experience as a singer/radio announcer to teach future artists to master their craft. Victor and his partners at SVPA Studio, which include Latin Grammy winner Tato Henriquez, dance instructor Erik González and acting coach Lucia Macias, will host a variety of workshops focusing on singing, guitar-playing, piano-playing, songwriting, acting, choreography, radio announcing, parade modeling and personality classes.

Martha and Coco, founders of MATICES Art Studio, have been intriguing adults, teens and children with their morning and evening classes.
