The Moscow Ballet will grace the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Friday, December 30th at 7:00 PM with a performance over 20 years in the making. The Great Russian Nutcracker has been a Christmas tradition in North America since 1993, thrilling audiences from New York City to Los Angeles. Now, South Texas will see its beauty.

A Performance Unlike Any Other

The Nutcracker, a classic Christmas story, is a fairy tale ballet in two acts centered on a family’s Christmas Eve celebration. The Moscow Ballet’s version, known as the Great Russian Nutcracker, includes other unique elements in the telling of the traditional holiday tale. In the Moscow version, the setting is the titular city and traditional Russian folk characters Ded Moroz and Snegurochka replace traditional characters Father Christmas and Snow Maiden.

With various gorgeous handcrafted backdrops created by award-winning Russian designer Valentin Federov, your whole night will be filled with enchantment from beginning to end.
