McAllen Marathon — Scott Crain Run

JANUARY 20, 2024   •   BOSTON MARATHON QUALIFIER

There’s no better way to start your New Year’s resolution than by challenging yourself for a 5K, half-marathon, five-person relay marathon or USATF-certified full marathon! Starting at the McAllen Convention Center, join thousands of others to venture through the city in the Scott Crane Memorial Run.

Race Details

The racecourses are flat and fast with a South Texas breeze and asphalt routes that will cruise through shady McAllen neighborhoods with all of the support needed to get you across the finish line! This includes ample water stations, restroom facilities and first-aid stations. Route information can be found here.


10k Race
6.2 miles

5k Race
3.1 miles

Full Marathon
26.2 miles
January 21st at 7:00 AM
7-hour maximum length.
USATF-certified, Boston Qualifier
Must be at least 14 years old.


Half Marathon
13.1 miles
January 21st at 7:00 AM
Must be at least 14 years old.


Relay Marathon
26.2 miles
January 21st at 7:00 AM
Team of 6
Age group divisions available.
*Participants aged 14 through 18 who sign up for the full marathon will be subject to evaluation to ensure preparedness.
General participants and runners, including handicapped individuals, must complete the race in seven hours or will be removed by the SAG vehicle.
