Introduction to WiFi Penetration Testing

September 15 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Drew Lentz will teach this Basic Introduction to Wireless Security and Wireless Penetration Testing class. Cost for this class will include a new Wi-Fi Pineapple and the course on how to use your new device in a hands-on lab environment.

Through this deep-dive class, you’ll gain an appreciation for just how easy it is to disrupt, pry into, or manipulate a given Wi-Fi environment.

With almost all communications taking place across wireless networks, isn’t it important to ensure that your wireless network is secure and resilient against attacks?

Wireless penetration testing is where skilled wireless technicians, using a variety of toolsets, attempt to gain access to network resources by taking advantage of vulnerabilities, flaws, bugs, and traditional methods to compromise the network.

As almost every small business, enterprise, financial institution, or healthcare provider have a wireless network in their facility, understanding how these networks can be broken into and more importantly how to protect yourself from outside threats is essential.

Our introduction to wireless penetration testing class will expose you to the tools, techniques, and methodology for identifying vulnerabilities in wireless networks. Included in the cost of the class is one of the most common Wi-Fi penetration testing tools on the market, a Wi-Fi Pineapple.

Each student will receive a WiFi Pineapple Nano Tactical kit which includes:
NANO Basic, plus EDC case, Anker PowerCore Slim 5000 battery, USB adapter & patch!

What You Will Learn

We will teach the class how to use these devices for simple deception, reconnaissance, and advanced manipulation to obtain access to wireless networks and the clients that connect to them. We will then cover how to generate a report of events and document findings to prepare for the IT staff, managers, and facilitators of all types of businesses.

Our class will last three hours from start to finish, feature hands-on labs, and give each attendee the knowledge on how to use it from the moment they walk out of our classroom.

Class sizes are currently limited to 20 students.

The cost per class, including equipment is $300.
If you would like to attend the class and bring your own approved equipment, the cost is $150.
If you would like to attend the class and forgo the hands-on component, a lecture only version is available for $100.
