McAllen’s first Thai-inspired rolled ice cream shop brought a new variety of enjoyment! This made-to-order ice cream uses fresh ingredients with your choice of toppings, all rolled in front of you. This month, their new flavor, Cafe Cream, really gives off those #FallVibes. It’s infused with coffee and pumpkin, and, honestly, it’s better than any pumpkin spice variety out there. This spot has made such a name for itself that their team was named “Food Network’s Season 5 Cupcake Wars Winner!” Try all of their flavors, including their fall lineup.

Who knew pies could be savory AND sweet?! P.J. Pies has both. When it comes to savory, try “The Gobbler.” It’s a turkey pot pie stacked with dressing, topped with mashed potatoes and gravy, and finished with a cranberry compote. It appears around the second week of October, so keep an eye out for it! For dessert, take your pick! They have so many sweet pies like pumpkin cheesecake, which is a special order. It’s lick-your-plate-clean good. Grab any of these and thank us later.

Look, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery takes cupcakes and ice cream into a whole other level. They bake their flavors every morning, fresh from scratch. Depending on the season they also have specialty seasonal flavors like for October you can taste their Caramel Latte, Pumpkin Cheesecake, or Maple Bacon cupcakes. Wait, wait! We haven’t even told you about their ice creams which are based off their famous cupcakes. THEN! Then, there is their Smallcakes Smash. Pick your favorite cupcake, pick your favorite ice cream, they’ll cut your cupcake in half. The bottom of the cupcake goes in a tall cup then they’ll layer your ice cream, and top it off with the top of your cupcake!
