If you’re looking for things to do in McAllen this weekend, then be sure to mark your planners for all of the events below! You can look forward to the North American Jewelry and Gift Show, Tres Lagos Farmers Market, the last screening of Movies in the Park, and so much more! Check them all out!
Friday, August 2nd
- Family Coloring Day at the McAllen Public Library will be scheduled from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
- The North American Jewelry and Gift Show is happening all weekend long at the McAllen Convention Center on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
- Intro to Poi (Art of Fire Spinning) at the McAllen Nature Center will take place from 6:15 PM until 7:15 PM. There is a suggested donation of $1 per participant.
- Sunset Yoga at the McAllen Nature Center is set from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There is a suggested donation of $1 per participant.
- Wrestling fans, watch Battle of the Gods at Cine El Rey beginning at 8:00 PM. Purchase your tickets at the door.
- The Second Annual Great Harry Potter Bar Crawl at Suerte Bar & Grill will begin at 9:00 PM.

Saturday, August 3rd
- Tai Chi Under the Oaks at the McAllen Nature Center is happening from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM. There will be a suggested donation of $1 per person.
- Beginners Butterfly Walk at the McAllen Nature Center is set from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. There will be a suggested donation of $1 per person.
- Block Party at the Shops at Upas & 11th located at 2101 North 11th Street is scheduled from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
- Nature Detective Walk at Quinta Mazatlán is happening from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. There will be a park admission fee of $3.
- Tres Lagos Farmers Market at Tres Lagos North Park will take place from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
- Reptile Mini Morning Fest at Quinta Mazatlán is set to happen from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. There will be a park admission fee of $3.
- Yoga at the McAllen Farmers Market is scheduled from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM.
- Join a Batman: Thumbprint Art Workshop for kids and parents at Kaboom Comics from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. There is a fee of $8 per participant.
- Celebrate National Watermelon Day at Suerte Bar & Grill beginning at 6:00 PM.
- Movies in the Park: Avengers: Infinity War will be screened at Westside Park – Ballfield 2 from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM. This will be the last Movies in the Park event.
- Join McAllen Crime Stoppers for their Back To School Giveaway at the McAllen Convention Center beginning at 9:00 AM.

Sunday, August 4th
- Beer Yoga at The Yard is set from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
- Brunch Me: Yaqui Animal Rescue Fundraiser at The Gremlin will happen from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
- The RGV Wedding Fair will be held at the McAllen Convention Center from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM. There is an admission fee of $14 at the door.
- Free Family Sunday Funday at the IMAS is happening from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
- Baddie Brunch at Love Buzz is set from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
- Bike Night at Whiskey Barrel Bar & Grill will begin at 6:00 PM.
