Citrus Festival

(Mission, Texas - January)

The Texas Citrus Fiesta is an annual festival celebrating the fact that more than 10 million pounds of citrus is produced in Texas each year. Started in 1932, the three-day festival includes a carnival, live music, local and other ethnic foods, the coronation of a "Citrus" Queen and duchesses and a unique "Parade of Oranges". A style show is also held, showcasing costumes made of citrus and other local Valley products.
